BIU’s 2025 Bx season is now under way! The team is playing in the DiscNW V2 playoffs, with games on Tuesday, 10/14/25 at 8pm vs Nathan Hale, and Thursday, 10/16/25 at 7:30pm vs Ingraham. Both games will be played at Garfield High, on the turf field. Goooooo BIU Bx!
In a rematch of last year’s state quarterfinal, our BIU Bx Varsity squad (#8 seed) faced the top-seeded Eastside Prep at Ingraham HS under the lights. EPS raced out to a 9-0 lead before Bainbridge was finally able to post a few points, eventually falling 4-13 to last year’s state champs. But congrats to all
Windy conditions and unexpected zone defense awaited the Bx JV team in their final matchup of the season, against Westside JV. Despite the on-the-job learning for our JV players in this situation, Westside retained the upper hand and bested us 9-2.
The Bx Varsity team snagged the 8th and final bid to DiscNW’s state championships with a solid 13-9 victory over Mercer on Monday. Big congratulations to all!
The BIU Bx Varsity squad suffered an agonizing loss against Lakeside at home on Tuesday afternoon. After battling through less than ideal (rainy, muddy) conditions to make it to universe point at the time cap, BIU was not able to come away with the W. The team lost 8-9. The Bx V squad suffered their first league loss of the Fall season, losing the home matchup against Mercer 9-10 in a tight game that went to time cap. Meanwhile, JV won easily against Mercer, 13-4.
The Bx JV squad traveled to Lakeside on Friday for a makeup of the previously rained out matchup. On the Lakeside quad, Bainbridge went point for point in the first half, until Lakeside finally broke it open and went ahead for good, eventually topping our JV team 13-8.
This past Wednesday, the Bx Varsity squad traveled to Tukwila to take on the Aviation HS team (Turbulence). Improving upon the previous weekend’s 13-3 victory, the Bx-V team won in a 13-0 shutout, taking care of business in quick fashion.
