Overview of Seasons

BIU Middle & High School Ultimate Seasons

Players attending high school on or around Bainbridge Island (e.g., BHS, Eagle Harbor HS, Hyla HS, West Sound Academy — or anyone willing to commute to practices) have lots of opportunities to play ultimate! We play in Seattle-based DiscNW leagues throughout the academic year. Practices are held on Bainbridge Island fields. Games are primarily held at various locations around Seattle, with some home games on Bainbridge Island fields. We also hold occasional clinics and other events.

Players attending middle school (5th-8th grade) on or around Bainbridge Island (e.g. Sakai, Woodward, MCS, West Sound Academy, Island School) have the opportunity to join the Hyla Middle School Ultimate team for the Spring season. This team is an excellent way to learn about Ultimate and try out the sport in a supportive and fun environment.

Spring Reign Mixed Tournament

Spring Reign is the largest youth tournament in the world, held in Burlington, WA. It is a standalone event, separate from our other seasons. It is not required that BIU players attend, but it is highly recommended because it is so much fun! We generally hold informal practices for the 6-8 weeks leading up to tournament weekend.
